Visual: The Streaming Service In the episode, a look back reveals that fan-favorite character Alastor, the Radio Demon was a serial killer in his human life. Knowing full well he was destined for Hell, he established communication with the realm beyond beforehand to obtain a strong position in Hell. The charismatic leader, the charismatic leader the cannibal faction in Hell, promised Alastor he would become “the strongest Sinner in Hell” in exchange for his eternal spirit. In the meantime, the origin story episode offers a further look into how the main characters of Sinner Demons looked like as mortals, the second after seeing Sir Pentious’ historical human form in the second episode. The creator explains that significant consideration was put into the visual creation of these forms. “The mortal forms of the characters hold so much weight,” she notes. “They vary from appearing really different from their infernal version to seeming very similar. With Pentious, the initial design we see, there was a little bit of a debate internally between going with a design that represents the character, as opposed to going with an option that's historically correct. We opted for creating a design that just felt like it was him.” Graphic: Prime Video She mentions the primary controversy over the mortal look of Pentious was his long hair: “We were like, ‘No one really had extended hair like that in that historical period.’ But simultaneously, we believe the outline is so important, and we also just felt he appeared attractive. We were like, ‘This seems correct.’ We sort of gave the excuse that he's a hermit, so he just let his hair grow out. So there's always a way. As we create the mortal forms of these characters […] it's such a fun thing to investigate and figure out.
